I am a full time, green woodworker / chair maker / coppice worker. I own 11 acres of coppice woodland on the Wrekin near Telford and all of the products I make are made with wood from that woodland which is managed to the highest standards of environmental sustainability. This provenance of materials is fundamental for my products as it the making process which is based on traditional hand tool techniques rather than modern power tools.

I have been a full-time maker for 16 years, mainly selling at larger country fairs and high-end craft events. I am now looking to reduce these and searching other potential outlets. I have exhibited and demonstrated at the Eccleshall Show for a number of years.

The emphasis of my business is the restoration and improvement of my ancient coppice woodland and as such decisions are made on the correct woodland and environmental impacts rather than on the pure “commerciality” of the business
